Daniel Keatings has reclaimed the prestigious title of British Champion from last years winner, Kristian Thomas, at the British Championships held 30th Oct - 1st Nov at Goresbrook Leisure Centre, London.
Keatings won the title back in 2007, but the following year, Kristian Thomas claimed it from him. His near perfect routines at the recent World Championships and Champions Trophy are obviously paying off. Competing in the six apparatus for the All Around final, Daniel continued to shine scoring an impressive 88.100 to reclaim his gold medal.
British Gymnastics Technical Director, Eddie Van Hoof comments on Daniel's success so far, "Everyone is really excited at Dan's success. A great deal of team work goes in to the preparation of the gymnasts and it is very pleasing to see his efforts come to fruition."
Since is historic win at the World Championships in October, Daniel has barely had time to stop and take it all in. Having competed in the Champions Trophy in Hannover and now the British Championships, he is looking forward to a well deserved pre-Christmas break.
Daniels next competition is the fourth and final stage of the Champions Trophy in Stuttgart on 15 November 2009.
